About the show
A daily comedy podcast on markets, money and tech.
Who it's for
Anybody who wants to keep their pulse on the market, business opportunities and their finances, and who always has a curious mindset toward positive takes.
What “positive” means
Positive doesn't mean always bullish. It means a curious understanding of what's happening and what it means. Markets cool off, and that's natural. Recessions are a natural part of the market, the same way setbacks are part of our lives — if you constantly fear them and fail to understand them, you can't grow through them.
We draw conclusions and run with them, and when the research proves us wrong, we say so on air. That's the most honest and interesting thing we can do.
Who makes it
I'm in control of the show. I determine the content. I use certain tools to help me make it, but at the end of the day I take full responsibility for it, and it's an expression of my research and understanding.
We're not covert about the AI production. This is very much my creation: it lets me express my opinions in ways I haven't been able to, and I have a lot of control over the editorial and the production. I use AI agents as my writers, designers, artists and sound engineer. We're clear about that, and about the benefits it gives us.
How it's made
Every episode is made end to end on one Mac — the research, the script, the pictures, the voices and the music. The pipeline, the measured house style the scripts are written against, and what broke along the way are documented on pureinference.com.
The credit
Created and hosted by Tim Roman. Written, researched and voiced with AI tools under his direction; the voices are synthesized.
Cast voices adapted from the Expresso dataset by Meta AI, under CC BY-NC 4.0.
Clips are short excerpts of the speakers' own public statements, used for commentary, with credit.
Nothing here is investment advice.
